As we begin the slow descent into the holiday season I am forced to begin thinking of presents for my loved ones. The thought of trying to traverse the sea of people out in malls, on the Plaza, and in the big box stores with a 7 month old is frankly a little bit terrifying. So this year I am making a vow to try and make most of my gifts for people, and if I am too lazy/not talented enough then I am planning on finding hopefully mostly WAHMs(work at home moms) to help fill in the gaps. I like the idea of putting my love and sweat into a holiday that is supposed to be about the love and thought when you give a gift not just the hot new item or what is convenient. So I am going to sign this pledge with the hope of honoring it.
My little gift
This is a stocking I made out of crazy red fun furry stuff. It was either going to be a stocking or an elmo costume, and since we aren’t big into the whole Elmo phenom.(at least not yet!) I though she would look cute stuffed into this stocking. 
P thinks that this should be her permanent stocking but it is HUGE! She would have a lot of stocking stuffers, but I always loved my stocking stuffers when I was at my dads house, so maybe we will continue the tradition of really awesome stockings. I need to make P and I ones then too right? Also Yo gabba gabba is an awesome show! In a couple years I have the feeling it is going to be big around here!
Whew. An update
Many things have been happening lately but I have not had the time nor fortitude to write about them. First off my best friend had a beautiful baby girl last Monday and she is gorgeous! My friend was a rock star and didn’t even have the epidural(my favorite friend in labor was Mr.epidural) but her baby girl did weigh a full 12 ounces less than mine. That’s a can of coke. So yeah, I regret nothing. Otherwise I have been working on customs like crazy and helping my baby get through teething. I also scored a slot with Sapo Verde for a Rhumba skirtie which I am really excited for. Here is my poorly done mock up-

Other than that I have just been getting a Halloween costume together for little pook(she’s a pumpkin this year!) Oh and we also had to change computers which is another reason why I have not been able to update in so long! Hopefully we can get all the plug-ins back on and running and updating will be easier.
A perfect fit
I made these cute cupcake “Padfoots” for DD. They fit perfectly! I love them! I wasn’t sure if the knit prints would work on them but they do and these feel like cuddly little happy feet. I will have to always check the cute flower attachment to make sure it is secure before letting her wear them.

Little bird butt
I think that I will turn these into footies for my little bird. I embellished the bum with bits of sweater scraps that I felted.
Semi-custom footie testers
The second ones (the blueish) are cashmere and are the happiest thing a baby could have on ever. I could cuddle with those pants all day! I hope they fit! I have this terrible scenario in my head that the mama I made them for will get them and love them but then they won’t fit her son. Let’s hope not! I am pretty sure that the measurements are dead on. I made them just a little tinier than her specifications because of the stretchiness of the knit.
